Healthy Foods

Teaching elementary students about nutrition is important. You can use this WebQuest as an introduction, or as a review if you have already covered this topic. The websites I found to have the students use were very helpful because they covered basic facts in an easy-to-understand way. The students will be able to find the information useful without being too confusing. Although you could get more advanced in the science aspect of nutrition, including enzymes, building cells, etc, I focused more on direct effects of healthy food that kids can actually feel (like having energy all day, having strong eyesight, and being protected from infection by not catching as many colds).
