Here are your guiding questions that should be answered in the PowerPoint presentation you’re preparing for your interview:

* Does your content area have a state mandated end of year test? (ex. EOG or SOL)

* If so, will your ELL students have to take it immediately?

* If not, how is your content area assessed?

* Where do ELLs fall under NCLB and IDEA?

* What accommodations can you legally provide for your ELLs during formal and informal assessments?

* Why do we mainstream ELLs?

* What are WIDA levels?

* How are they helpful when planning a lesson with ELLs and native-speaking students?

* How can you use them to appropriately scaffold lessons to include all learners in your class?

* How will you accommodate the emotional needs of different ELLs? (specifically immigrants, refugees, asylees)

*How will you interact and work with your schools ELL teacher(s)?
