South Carolina: The Palmetto State

South Carolina is a very interesting state and it has a remarkable history! South Carolina was the eighth state to ratify the United States Constution. Also, another interesting fact of South Carolina is that the first shots of The Civil War were fired in Charleston Harbor on April 12, 1861. The "Palmetto State" also has many remarkable symbols that represent the state as a whole!
