Thiswebquest is designed for students in Stage 3 and 4 using the New South WalesBoard of Studies Human Society and Its Enviroment Syllabus. the webquest maintopic is the Colonisation of Australia in early 1788 and the effects it had onthe Aboriginal people who lived at that time and the effects it had on thecolonies. The activities provided will feature a range of resources such asinteractive games, videos and engaging literature. You will learn what it waslike to live as an Aboriginal person in 1788 and what it was like to live likeas an early english settler, as most of the colonies consisted of convictsbrought out from the United Kingdom, it created an environment full ofhostility and hardship.
Stage4:Topic3 Aboriginal and Indigenous Peoples, Colonisation and Contact History
The nature of the contact betweenAustralian Indigenous andEuropean non-Indigenous people is a controversialtopic to this day. Numerous documents are available on this topic but they areconflicting and based upon the perspective of the writer.
We will examine and explore theperpectives of both the European settlers and convicts as well as theAboriginal Australians.
We will then compare and contrast the2 different perspectives of Australian history. We will also support ourunderstanding by locating images that depict the 2 different perspectives.
Firstly, we must create a worddocument titled 'Colonisation and Australian history', in order to gather ourinformation.......
