Formative Assessment
The teacher will circulate the classroom during the completion of the mutation worksheet and the jigsaw activity, to assess for understanding, make sure students stay on topic, and to answer questions.
Teacher will hand out exit slips, strategy #8 (Fisher, Brozo, Frey, & Ivey, 2007), before students leave the class. (See Example Exit Slip below in resources).
Teacher will collect the mutation worksheet and grade it based on completion and participation.
