Conclusion

Great job!  Handy Manny is so greatful for your help!  Without you, he wouldn't have been able to get the job done.  You were a big help!

Let's see if  you found the right pattern!

During the Sesame Street video, we saw that the color of the first paperclip was blue.  So this should have been the first color of Handy Manny's pattern on your worksheet.

While riding  on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse train, you saw that the LAST train car was green.  This means the second piece of Handy Manny's pattern is green.

While playing on the assembly line and completing your ten patterns, you noticed that the shape in the LAST box was yellow.  Your picture of Handy Manny's fence should show that the third fence post is yellow.

I hope you had fun playing the drums and all the other instruments!  Did you notice the color of the FIRST rectangle with an instrument on it?  It was yellow, so the fourth fence post in Handy Manny's pattern should be colored yellow.

I hope you had fun helping the little girl decorate her own room.  She had lots of shapes. What was the color of the circles?  I hope you noticed that they were blue. This should be the next and fifth color in your pattern.

While playing Pattern Mania did you pay attention to the last pattern?  Do you know the color of the second shape in the last pattern?  The color of the second shape in the last pattern was green, so the last piece of Handy Manny's pattern before you extend it should be green.

What is the pattern?

Great job! You are right! Handy Manny's color pattern is Blue, Green, Yellow, Yellow.  You found six pieces to the pattern though, so you should have colored the pattern Blue, Green, Yellow, Yellow plus two more, a Blue and a Green.  When you extended Handy Manny's pattern, you should have discovered that the pattern repeats Blue, Green, Yellow, Yellow all the way down the fence over and over again.

What type of pattern is that?  Great job!  It is an ABCC pattern!  It is an ABCC pattern because there are three different colors and the last color repeats.

You guys are so smart!  Handy Manny really appreciates your help!  He couldn't have done it without you!  Be ready to help Handy Manny again sometime if he needs your help.  Mrs. Portillo loved her fence so much that she might want you to paint another one for her!
