Who was Christopher Columbus?

Conclusion

20110729033004yZeny.jpg

Hopefully you have discovered the real Christopher Columbus. Use the conclusion to sum up everything you have learned in three or four paragraphs. Remember the questions we asked at the beginning: "Who was Christopher Columbus?" "What did it take to be a successful explorer of the New World?" "How did Columbus directly affect the indigenous American population?" and "Should the United States continue to celebrate Columbus Day?" Your conclusion should answer all of these questions and possibly more. What interesting things have you discovered? What things surprised you or shocked you? What did you learn about this man and the New World he "discovered"? How badly did the indigenous population suffer because of Columbus? Should we be celebrating this guy's life or condemning him as a criminal? How do you judge the actions of someone 500 years ago by today's standards?

Remember to include everyone's opinions in the finished product. Write your paragraphs in a document file, edit it, proofread it, then when it's ready, post it to your conclusion page. Carefully look it over one more time, then, you're done! Let me know it's ready and make sure you fill out your team member rubric. Whether you tell me it's ready or not, I will stop editing privileges on all wikis at 11:59 p.m. on the night of the due date.
