Global Warming/Climate Change: What is it? How Does it Affect Us? What Can We Do About It?

This project was originally designed as a Tech Partner project to introduce two teachers to the use of WebQuest research. Along the way, we decided that the best way to proceed was to empower the students to create the project for themselves. How would they, as fifth grade students, examine the issue of global warming and climate change? They immediately listed what they already knew about the subject, then proceeded to categorize the information they wanted to investigate. They thought the best way to conclude the project was through a PowerPoint presentation to the class. This way each student would be exposed to the research on all three topics. What a great job they did!

 

The number of curriculum standards that this project meets is far too long to list here, but certainly economics, science, and technology standards are included.
