A Tree Is a Plant

You can create many fun crafts and activities to help students understand the importance of Arbor Day.  You can read stories such as the one in this lesson and encourage your students to ask questions and find answers.  You can create fun crafts in the classroom, have the students all draw, paint, or paste trees together and help them to identify the different parts of a tree.  And of course, you can always take it to the next level and have the students get together and plant a tree as a class and take part in Arbor Day's tree-planting tradition!
