This WebQuest is designed for Form 3 Scheme A students of Mathematics.

It is designed for students to learn about reflection. We have used real-life examples, videos and worksheets to incorporate the basic idea that all the students have of reflection with reflection on a graph as we know it in Mathematics.

The Notes Section of this WebQuest involved both revision notes as well as new notes about reflection.
The revision notes include; Videos, pictures and Links to Notes on the following:
  • Drawing the x- and y-axis
  • Labeling the origin
  • Plotting Coordinates and
  • Identifying coordinates, both in the positive and negative axes.

The new notes include; ...

In the section Real-Life Examples the students will find a description of reflecting surfaces. They then have a worksheet filled with examples of pictures showing real reflections. As part of their practice, students need to label different pictures and give a description of the reflection. A worksheet where students upload their own pictures showing reflection is also included.

The Evaluation section explains how we are going to assess the students. Attached in the Resources, There is an extra worksheet which students should work out after they have finished the WebQuest. The workseet includes a set of questions which the students need to answer to see what they have understood about reflection. The worksheet is used for self- and peer- assessment.

In the Resources Section below, the answers for the Worksheet to be found in  the Real-Life Examples Section has been included.
