Tsunami

This webquest was designed to be used in conjunction with the sixth grade science and reader's workshop curriculum.  We explore tsunamis by reading several books about them such as The Big Wave and Escaping the Giant Wave.  These engaging stories leave the students wanting to learn more about tsunamis.  This webquest gives them an opportunity to research and answer questions about tsunamis.  As a culminating activity, they will create a powerpoint or a brochure. The objective will be to help inform the reader about the devasting impact of a tsunami and how to take precautions to help survive this natural disaster.
