Tsunami

Time is of the essence so you and your partner will only have a few days to complete the task assigned to you.  You will be responsible for researching the internet links to answer questions and gather information to complete the assignment.

In teams of two you may create a powerpoint presentation or brochure which must have:

2 to 4 pictures of the most destructive tsunamis of the past and current century.  Include as much of the following information: date/time of the tsunami occurred, cause, number of people affected and property destroyed.

How Tsunamis are generated and signs that they are likely to occur. Discuss how the coastal residents can protect themselves in such of an event and what warning system is available.
