Jamestown, Virginia

Your journey will begin in England. While you are there, you will discover the importance international trade was, even in the 1600's. Then you are going to journey across the ocean to the New World and settle in a colony named Jamestown. You are going to get to know Captain John Smith and learn what he did that earned him the title of 'famous explorer'. Next you are going to learn about what the land was like in Virginia and how the settlers survived (be warned...it wasn't easy!). From there, you will see how England wanted the colonists to deal with legal issues and how the settlers felt about having to still follow the King's rules.
