Who Invented the Light Bulb?..and Other Famous Inventions?

Through the use of web sites and books, students will investigate why people make new products or invent new ways to meet their individual wants and needs.  They will research their own individual invention/inventor of their choice, and create a trading card that will be laminated so that they can all have a set of each student's card .  There will be an Invention Trading Card Show, at the end of the unit, and all students will be the "expert" on their invention and the inventor.  They will do a very brief presentation of their inventor, and distribute their cards to the class.
