This is the official French recycling website.

Once you are here, you can mouse over all of the headings to find out how the French government is taking a pro-active stance in reducing non-recyclable waste and how recycling is implemented in France.

Your goal:

You will determine who makes more trash in a year, a Parisian or an American, and discover what the French do to reduce waste and recycle. You may use web sources provided from Madame O's blog or website, and there are videos as well as links for written material. It is best to use a combination of these sources, and write out your ideas first, as well as your sources before you begin creating your final project. Don't forget the sources listed on the Task and Introduction pages of the Zunal page.  Stating first, who is more wasteful, a Parisian or an American, your group will then find 4 ways to either reduce waste or recycle and 4 ways this will benefit the environment.

Your final project will demonstrate what you learned in the Webquest. The final project is an original work, which may be one of the following: a song, a rap, a skit, video or a poster.

You must include a written copy of your scripts and provide your sources.

Projects will be graded according to the rubric found on the evaluation tab.

Be original, creative, cite your sources, and demonstrate 4 ways to reduce waste or recycle and 4 reasons how your ideas will benefit the environment. Skits, videos and songs should be at least 4 minutes but less than 10 minutes in length.
