 There are also many videos listed on my blog as well as web resources. Your goal is to learn how much trash  an average American makes in a year as compared to that of a Parisian. 

Now that you know about the depth of this problem, you need to figure out a solution.

Find 4 ways you can reduce the amount of trash you make and describe 4 ways this will benefit the environment. (Hint, how are the French doing this?)

You will be working in teams of four.

Group 1 takes the orange circles

Group 2 takes the blues

Group 3 takes the yellow and green 

Group 4 takes the red and purple

Click on each circle and read each link, and gather information on how to reduce waste and recycle. Incorporate these ideas into your project. You may use as many other sources as you need to do the "4 ways and 4 ways" as stated above.

Your job is to find out how the French reduce their amount of trash produced and to compare this with that of Americans. Use this new information to come up with ways to change your own household, school or local community's way of handling trash. Suggest ways to reduce waste, conserve resources and recycle. "Go green" is the theme of the WebQuest. Your project is supposed to be presented to the general public, government, or your school, in order to persuade people to adapt your ideas in order to keep the planet clean.
