What Makes A Good Story?

To complete this quest you will have two main roles you must undertake. The first is to explore creative writing techniques and the second is to apply what you have learnt practically.

Before you can begin thinking about writing you must explore and answer all of the questions put before you. In answering these questions you will successfully learn and practice more and more of these techniques so that you feel comfortable with writing using these new techniques.

You will then look at ONE piece of professional writing. You will see how the author as applied these techniques themselves to make their story engaging and exciting for the reader. You will acknowledge where these techniques are used and be able to comment on their effectiveness from there.

From here it is your turn. You are to take all the knowledge you have can from your exploration and you are to write your own story. You are to apply as many of the techniques as possible to improve the quality of the story.

All you will need to complete these tasks is access to the internet, Microsoft word and your imagination.
