A Matter of Chocolate

Operation: Travel to Earth, Milkyway, to research the resource chocolate

Directive: Now that you have accepted, your mission is to travel to Earth, Milkyway, and research the natural resource, chocolate.

Four teams of agents have been formed to time-warp to separate centuries of chocolate’s history, so ARIA can tell where and when to best extract the resource from Earth.

1) Discover chocolate’s distribution during your time period. Who knows about it? Controls it? Produces it? Enjoys it? And give a brief overview of their culture.

2) Report chocolate’s uses during your time period as the agency knows little about it. How is it consumed? Prepared? Is it used for anything other than food or drink?

3) Meaning would also be important for you to discover since ARIA will need to be able to negotiate with the culture in possession of the resource to obtain it. For example, is it a symbol of wealth or power? Is it religious? Or democratic?

4) Find your information quickly, and prepare a computer briefing (Power Point, iMovie, Publisher brochure, etc.) for the Director.
