You are currently serving as the campaign staff for an aspiring City Council member of Detroit's sixth district. After many meetings and long hours of research, you have focused on two possible strategies to earn a victory. Your first option is to support the neighborhood groups in asking businesses to reduce pollution. They will be able to rally enough voters behind your candidate to win on election day. Or, you may choose to support the businesses, whose campaign donations will provide enough money to buy advertisements for your candidate- a proven strategy in winning an election.

You will need to create a message that will convince your audience (businesses or neighborhood groups) to support your candidate. You have identified several strategies to accomplish this.

Individually, you must produce the following:
A) Research notes supporting a position
B) Research notes against a position
C) A rough draft of your three panel brochure
D) A final copy of your three panel brochure

A three-panel brochure educates your audience about the issue and your candidate's plan. It should persuade your audience that your position is the correct one by presenting evidence from your resources. You should also counter any arguments against your plan.
