Task
SC Standard: 3-3.1 Classify rocks (including igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic)
Lesson Objective- Students will become rock detectives and learn about the three different types of rocks. Students will be asked to think about and research some properties of the rocks. Using their textbook and the internet their job now, as detectives, is to find properties and characteristics of the three types of rocks which they can use to divide, or classify, the rocks into groups. They will be creating a class presentation on the three types of rocks that they research.
