NOW HERE ARE THE STEPS TO COMPLETING A WINNING PROPOSAL! !

1.  Have a team discussion of the project and choose roles.

2.  Check out the sites listed above and become experts in your field.  It will be better for your team if you all learn about each area.

3.  Begin choosing which stages you would like to redesign by going to the Tour de France website.  The entire team will want to go to the Tour de France site to see which stages fit their needs when it comes time to pitch the new route.  You will pick 5 to 7 stages to reroute.  Note:  some of these stages have been recently changed so you may want to avoid changing those unless you have a really good proposal.  Be sure to explore the site thoroughly.

4.  Go to the Google Docs Status Page and enter the stages you have chosen.  You may change them later if needed if you enter an explanation.

5.  Now get to work!  All members can contribute photos and research to the Google Docs Team Contributions Page for your team.  Be sure to put your name and the source for your information so you can find it again and give credit where credit is due!

6.  Start cataloging your support for why this would be an improved route for the Tour de France with photos, facts about the appeal of the area, and the integrity of the Tour de France course, including length of the overall course and the levels of difficulty.  All of this will be stored in the Google Docs Team Contributions Page.

7.  If you have questions, go to the Project Engineer for answers.  Remember that you have the power of the internet at your finger tips so become problem solvers using research.

8.  See the full project requirements and a check list for keeping track of your progress.  You can print this out or use an online version.  Be sure to click on the EVALUATION link for the grading rubric.
