How to Cite While You Write using EndNote Web

Process

klavye(1).jpg

Go to EndNote Web main site. Once there, go to EndNote Web Login. If at this moment you don't have an EndNote Web Account, try the video on Creating EndNote Web Account to see how to proceed.

Once you have created your new EndNoteWeb account, go to EndNote Web Login, located immediately under Quick Links. Enter your data, and you are there.

You can search the Internet through your MyEndNote Web account, download the video about Online Search, from all videos available from EndNote X3 Training Videos (for version X4, training is online through the same site), to see all possibilities you have at hand to do your bibliographic references searches.

With all references you found, build your own databases, these will be saved in your MyEndNote Web database in the EndNote Web server.  Don't be afraid, I have owned mine for more than five years, since version X, and nothing have happened to my data.

While in your MyEndNote Web session, go to the option Options, in the menu that now appears, select Download Installers, select the plug-in for the system you are using, commonly you will select Windows Operating System.

Once installed, you will see a new tab in your MsWord. To know all options it contains, I invite you to see the video Cite While You Write (CWYW) Overview, located in EndNote main site.

To insert a citation you previously saved in your MyEndNote Web site, simply select the option Find Citations in the Citations tab of EndNote Web menu.

As you notice, EndNote Web put the citation automatically in the style you previously selected in the Options tab of your MyEndNote Web site.

EndNote Web plug-in also insert automatically a Bibliography entry in your paper.

I would share with you two pdf files that, I hope, could be useful for all of you, novel scientific writers.

I also share the American Psychological Association site for 6th version of the style.
