3. DEFINE and GIVE EXAMPLE  

-Watch Logical Fallacy Slide Show  -Fill out worksheet
(download link at the bottom of the page; you may need to click on it to open it once you have downloaded it; then save it so you can type on it before you print it out to turn it in)

-Next you will research the logical fallacies that you will use for your journalistic analysis.  There are many logical fallacies, but we will concentrate on the 11 that were in the slide show.

-After viewing the slideshow, please fill out the worksheet by defining and giving an original example of each logical fallacy. 

  • You may choose to use any on-line sources to capture ideas for your examples of the logical fallacies, but you MUST document the web pages that you get your ideas from.  In most cases, that will be done by
  • copying the web page address, and after you
  • paste that address,
  • add the date that you visited that web page (just in case the pages change).  
  • Put the information (citation information) at the end of each definition. 
  • YOUR WORK IS INCOMPLETE UNTIL YOUR PROVIDE  CITATION INFORMATION (DOCUMENT YOUR SOURCES).
  • I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO TURN IN WORK THAT IS CONSIDERED PLAGIARIZED
  • -it is considered plagiarized if you have not documented your sources.
