Introduction

Have you ever wanted to go on risky journey to an unknown world? It would be quite scary! What would be some of your fears? What would you anticipate seeing or doing?  Well, you are in for the journey of your life...

The king and queen of Spain have asked you and your fellow classmates to join an expedition to the  New World!  The king and queen need you to gather information about the Natives that have been spotted throughout the eastern woodlands. Perhaps they may become a great help to the king. Maybe they have resources which could be traded with Spain.

In a group of 4-5, each person will have an assigned role. You must complete the task for your role and follow the king's orders by researching and digging for information! During this weeklong adventure, you and your team will be learning about the physical environment, daily life, and cultures of the Eastern Woodlands tribes, especially the Iroquois. You will record the information that you learn daily in your blog.

Following the week of your expedition, you and your team will create a Power Point Slideshow.  This slide show will be used to teach your fellow classmates the information you have acquired on your journey.

Each member should be able to: Explain the everyday life, physical environment, and culture of the Native Americans of the Eastern Woodlands.
