Genomics, Disaster Preparedness and Health Promotion

Promoting Health  is a challenging task considering the complexity of factors that can impact the health of   individuals and populations. Nurses have the opportunity to explore the complex needs of individuals and their families and to be active in each phase of the of the " health promotion process".

This activity is going to give you the opportunity to identify the U.S.  health promotion needs as ranked by the National Commission on Prevention Priorities (NCPP). You will also explore how nurses can promote health through disaster preparedness and genomics.
