Introduction

  • The purpose of this lesson not only to learn about vertical angles and be able to apply to solve various geometrical problems but also increase student's technologica lliteracy by reviewing blogg
  • Student will be engage in an interactive activity
  • At the beginning, teacher will review homework
  • During the class, teacher will show one video clip
  • Teacher will use collaborative learning strategy 
  • Teacher will use found a poem activity (Strategy #10)
  • Students will have to complete hands on activities  specifyied in blogg
  • Teacher will use note taking activity (Strategy #38)

  • 8.G.1 Identify pairs of vertical angles as congruent
     

 

Objectives

  • At the end of the lesson student will be able to indentify vertical angles
  • At the end of the lesson student will be able to justify that vertical angles are congruent
  • At the end of the lesson student will be able to investigate vertical angle relation by using interactive game activity
  • At the end of the lesson evaluate the other students’ solution
  • During the lesson, students will use mathematical language and concepts to express their ideas while working in groups and being engaged in class discussions

Length of lesson

  • Length of the lesson is 90 minutes
  • Homework review will be about 10  minutes
  • Explanation of new material including solving question about 50 minutes
  • Video clips about 10 minutes
  • Closure 10 minutes
  • Homework 10 minutes
