Journey West on the Oregon Trail

Imagine that one day your parents explain to you that you will be leaving your current home, friends, and family to move to an unknown land far, far, away.  You will only be allowed to bring a few of your favorite toys and books and you will never be returning to your current home.  Your trip will take several weeks and it will be the adventure of a lifetime.  You will get to see new things, meet new people, and experience an adventure like you have never imagined.  You wonder why you are leaving, what you will experience along the way, and what your new home will be like.
