How did you fare?  Have you taken one last look at the rubric to make sure that your map and diary  are exemplary?



You now know all about the pioneers, why they chose to move west, the hardships they faced on their journey, and why they chose their settlement for their new homes. 

You have now examined what life was like for the pioneers who braved the Oregon Trail in their quest for a new home.  What new things did you learn while on your journey?  How did life in the late 1800s compare to today?  Would you rather live in pioneer times or now?  Be prepared to discuss these questions with the class.
