You are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime!  Get ready to discover what life was like for the pioneers as they journeyed west along The Oregon Trail to their new homes.  Along the way, it is your mission to discover:

1. Why did the pioneers decide to move west?
2. What is a wagon train, how was it formed, and why did many people travel in a wagon train?
3. What new plants and animals did the pioneers see on their journey?
4. Why the pioneers chose certain areas in which to settle?
5. What landforms did the pioneers see on The Oregon Trail?
6. Why were specific landforms so important to the pioneers traveling west on The Oregon Trail?

You will pretend that you are a pioneer on The Oregon Trail and write journal entries each day explaining what you learn on your journey.  Your journal entries and map of specific landforms you will create will be kept in a research folder and turned in when this Webquest is complete.
