Making a map of your school

Dear students,
I have some very important visitors coming to visit our school.  They are excited to see all of the great learning that our students are doing.  However, none of the visitors have been to our school before.  I want to make sure they know where all of the classrooms and other areas of the school are located.  I need your help! 
Please make a map of our school showing all the rooms inside the building, as well as the areas outside of the building (don't forget the playground and parking lot).  You will need to learn what maps are as well as how to use symbols and a compass rose.
Then when the visitors come you can present your map to them and explain where everything is.  When presenting your map make sure to point out the areas of the school you think are the most important for them to locate and describe where they are at.
