Welcome: What's Your Opinion?
Description: Join us on a journey to discover what life would be best for the Asian elephant. In this activity, students will learn about life in the circus and sanctuary/wild and they will determine which lifestyle is best for elephants. Students will explore texts with different purposes and different points of view to formulate their own opinion through a speech that they will present to the class. Student groups will then debate and create a Public Service Announcement, a news article, or a brochure to present to the class.
