This webquest contains various skills learned throughout the year. This webquest is intended for an end of year culminating activity which requires students to use several math skills. The skills are related to social studies and real-world applications.
Background Knowledge- Prior to starting this webquest, the students must have an understanding of certain concepts. The students should be able to:
-add decimals (milage)
-be able to divide large numbers (or use a calculator)
-under negative numbers (as in temperature)
-be able to create a double bar graph and label a graph correctly (understand x and y axis
-read and understand a timeline
-be comfortable with PowerPoint
-know how to use a scanner and insert pictures into a presentation
-use the Internet appropriately
Standards:
-add and subtract decimals
-add and subtract large numbers
-divide with 2 and 3 dividends
-know the 50 states
-be able to read and create a timeline
-create a double bar graph
-Understand negative numbers
