Australia - Down Under!

 This webquest was created in the context of a university course regarding the use of modern media in school.
Nevertheless I tried to make it as realistic and practicable as possible.

Maybe I make use of this Webquest in a few years when I finished university and am a teacher myself. Until then I  allocate it to the users of zunal.com

 Helpful information for teachers who would like to implement the Webquest:

- This webquest was made for secondary students
    --> According to the Bavarian Curricular where "Australia" is meant to
           implement in grade 10.

- This webquest gives an overview about Australia including its history, lifestyle,
   places to go/geography, wildlife and Aborigines.

- Required time:
      --> 1. lesson:   - Pupils get introduced to the project
                                 - Build groups of 4-5 pupils
                                 - Pupils read Introduction, Task and Process
                                 - Groups get themselves organised

      --> 2. lesson:  - Pupils work on their topic --> information search, taking notes
                                    etc.

      --> 3. lesson:  -  Pupils work on their topic --> information search, taking notes
                                     etc.

      --> 4. lesson:  - Pupils finish searching for information on their own
                                - Pupils discuss with their group members: Which pieces of
                                    information are important? Which information should be
                                    written down on the poster/handout?

      --> 5. lesson:  - The groups start creating their poster and handout

      --> 6. lesson:  - The groups continue creating their poster and handout

      --> 7. lesson:  - The  groups finish creating their poster, organise who of them
                                    presents which part and prepare themselves for the
                                    presentation.
                                     --> groups which have already finished start with the extra
                                            task (= games about Australia; see also "Process")

(     --> 8. lesson:  - only if necessary: another lesson where the groups finish )
