World Governments Exploration for 6th Grade

This is a lesson and activity which follows the following Common Core and Essential Standards in both Social Studeies and Technology. Everything you need is included on this webquest. you can allow in class time to complete if you wish. This is an excellent lesson to use 100% in the classroom as well!

Social Studies-

Understand the
development of government in
various civilizations, societies and regions.

Explain the origins and
structures of various governmental systems (e.g. democracy, absolute monarchy andconstitutional monarchy).

Compare the requirements for (e.g. age, gender and status) and responsibilities of (e.g. paying taxes and military service) citizenship under various governments.
