Why did that happen?!

Mrs. Ferdinand's house is the nearest to your business. She sees you coming and runs outside.
"Detective! Oh, Detective!" She almost trips on her way over to you.
"I need some help! I spilled milk in my kitchen!"

You look at her and smile. "How can I help?" You say.

"That's not the mystery... The mystery is where it went! I went to the closet to get my mop, but when I came back, the milk was gone! I saw my kitten, Snowball, sitting where the milk had been!"

Dan saw you smiling and came to see you. "You have to come look!" he said, pointing to his window. You walk over with him and look in. His curtain is on the floor, with some screws beside it.
"I was walking by it, and it fell on me! I thought I was home alone, but SOMEONE pulled my curtain down on me!"

A girl named Sarah walks by you. Her shirt and her face are covered in sweat. "I just don't know why this happens to me," she says to herself, "I turned the air on. Why is my house so hot?!"

You smell a new mystery! You follow her to the house beside Dan's and see the doors and windows are open. She looks at you and asks for help. "Please, Detective! Find out why my air conditioner isn't cooling my house!"

Look at her house carefully, and when you think you have the answer, write it down.
