Why did that happen?!

You will work in groups of two or three for about a half hour, with each of you handing in separate answer sheets after the activity.
Read each section carefully, and look for CAUSES that EFFECT something else.
Talk it over! Sometimes, when a person doesn't understand WHY something happens, he or she isn't looking at the big picture. To be a good detective, you have to look at all the parts and think about what they do.
If you finish the exercise before the time is up, read some of the mysteries in the Conclusion section and see if you can guess the WHO, WHY, and WHERE.
After everyone finishes, we will break the class into three groups and discuss each segment of the WebQuest.
