Part 1: For each kingdom, you will need to do some research using the URL's given in the chart under the "Process" heading.  While you are researching the kingdoms, please fill in information about each kingdom in the attached chart.  For each kingdom, you will need to know information from the following categories:

A) Cell Type (Prokaryotic vs. Eukaryotic)
B) One Cell (unicellular) vs. Many Cells (multicellular)
C) Nutrition/Feeding Type
D) Reproduction
E) Sample Organism (provide the scientific name...example: Homo sapiens.... and describe some unique characteristics of the organism)
F) Fun Facts about the Kingdom

***You and your partner must print out THREE copies of your chart.  Each partner must contribute to the research process in order for your group to finish on time!***

Part 2: Using the information in your chart, you will create a children's book in a Microsoft Word document to teach 2nd Graders about the 6 Kingdoms of Life.  Your book will have 6 characters (one from each kingdom), and you should be creative with the names and storyline!  Your book must contain at least THREE facts about each kingdom.  These facts can be taken directly from your chart and integrated into the storyline.  Feel free to include pictures from Clip Art or GoogleImage.  Tomorrow, you will be sharing your children's book with one partner pair, and you will receive feedback.  Your book must include a title page.

***You should print only ONE copy of your children's book***

NOTE: So long as you talk to me beforehand and explain your plan, I will accept products other than a children's book.  Examples include a comic book, a newspaper article, a wanted ad, a poem, etc.  These alternate products will be graded using the same criteria, and a title page with each partner's name should still be included.
