Slavery...Scars from the Past
Task
This journey proved to be very trying for African Americans. Families were torn apart and humans beaten, BUT they did not give up. They stayed strong for their people.
Your job is to keep a diary/journal about this long journey. You will write about things you saw, your feelings, and how you would have handled the situations that slaves were put in. Please attach pictures or drawings.
A map of the Middle Passage, along with the Underground Railroad must be included as well.
You need to tell what the relationship is between the Civil War and slavery.
Include in your diary what slaves harvested and what impact it had on the economy.
You will need:

-picture of the famous conductor of the Underground Railroad
-the secret letter (Resource #4)
