The Great Depression and the Dust Bowl of the 1930's

1.  Students will go to the website http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/films/dustbowl/ and watch a video entitled, "Surviving the Dust Bowl."  

2.  Students will also watch a short video clip at http://www.history.com/shows/america-the-story-of-us/videos/the-great-depression#the-great-depression.  This clip discusses the Great Depression. 

3.  Students will use the internet in order to find good sources of information on this time in history.  Students will be required to turn in the URL of at least 3 good websites they found during the research process.

4. The students will end the unit by creating a PowerPoint presentation on the Great Depression or the Dust Bowl.  It is their choice.
