Christmas Dinner Quest

First the class will be split into four groups, with a grocery sale paper at each group, and a calculator. Each group will need to assign a recorder so that someone can keep a list of all the items decided on later when creating grocery list. Each group will be given ten minutes to come up with a list of items from the sale paper that will create a balanced dinner for six people. One must take into account 8% sales tax, price per pound when purchasing items such as meat and cheese, and all five basic food groups. There should be at least one fruit, vegetable, grain, dairy, and meat in every group's menu. The idea is you will be creating your own Christmas dinner for six people, so be creative and feel free to represent your own culture. The group who comes closest to 200$ without going over and remembers to add taxes in will recieve a special ticket that will allow them to have one free night from homework!
