Christmas Dinner Quest

The idea behind this lesson is to have all students actively engaged and learning about the food pyramid, basic addition, multiplication, and counting money. One does this best through real life connections that all children can relate to and incorporate into their daily lives. Not only do they have to decide on a balanced diet, calculate the taxes, and select the food, but they also now have real life connections that will help them in the outside world. It is an academic and usable real life lesson all in one.
