Cinderella: An introduction to a cultural awakening through fairytales

In this Cinderella adventure you will:

Uncover different attributes in various Cinderella tales from around the world
Discover facts about the culture, art, and literature from the places where our Cinderella tales take place
Create a website/webquest about your Cinderella Tale and the cool place it came from
Develop an understanding of how plot, point of view, culture, and art vary in different countries.
Analyze the differences between the Disney version we watched/read on You Tube, and the version you read.
Make/cook/bake/combine a recipe that is a specialty in your Cinderella's country.
Participate in group/class discussions on culture, race, discrimination, and point of view.
Participate in a class wide potluck from around the globe, showcasing your Cinderella's country (food) dish.
Demonstrate your knowledge of how a plot line, setting, character development, art, narrator, climax, and resolutions are used in different Cinderella stories unique to that culture.
