Protecting Nature by Making Conservation Management Plans
Task
The objectives of this WebQuest are to learn the logic of making a management plan as an intellectual process and apply it creatively to organise a project to manage a small part of planet Earth, whether it be maximising a small patch of urban grass or planting trees in the school grounds.
The planning logic taught in this WebQuest is common to the work of any organisation whether it is a one-person volunteer operation or commercial organisation with dozens of staff, The plan for a tiny organisation can obviously be a lot simpler than that for a huge one, but the intent in both cases is still the same: to carry out the mission of the organisation the day-to-day tasks needed to support that mission and keep the organisation running year on year as effectively as possible.
