Creating and Classifying the Perfect Pet!

OK, so hopefully your designer pet isn't as homely as Sam (picture above).  So, here is what you will be doing.  You will use your amazing creative abilities to design the perfect pet.  This can be anything YOU think is wonderful, not what your parents, your best friend, or any one else may think is wonderful.  You will design a model of your animal with materials that you feel are appropriate and create a fact sheet about your critter.  The fact sheet will contain information about classification that you will learn by exploring the links provided.  After you have learned about classification and created your perfect pet, you will share your new found species with us in class.

In class we will decide together if you classified correctly by using a dichotomous key.  Confused?  Don't worry, you'll know more after you read the links and attend science each day!
