Plant Adaptations

First, you must do a little research about biomes. Use the links on the Process page to help you.  Then choose the biome that is most interesting to you.  Your choices are:

Tropical Rain Forest

Temperate Deciduous Forest

Temperate Rain Forest

Taiga

Tundra

Grassland

Desert

Once you have chosen a biome, look for interesting facts about the biome and find ways that plants have adapted to live in the environment. Complete the "Biome Information" and "How Plants Have Adapted" sheets to help organize your information. 

When you are finished with your research you will be creating a poster. The poster will display a new species of plant that you create.  The plant will have the necessary adaptations to live in the biome you have chosen.  Your poster will include facts about the biome as well as an explanation of what adaptations your plant has that helps it survive in the biome.
