Before you get started, take a manila folder and label it, "My Career Plan."

Following each step below, is a reference to the Resources at the bottom of the page.  For example, Step 1 shows Resources 1, 2 &3. That means that you should complete the Mouse Skills Exercise, the Internet 101 tour and the Internet 101 Quiz.

Step 1:     An Introduction to the Internet

In order to be successful in 21st century jobs, employees MUST have some basic computer knowledge. The introductory resources below will help you better understand:

1. How to use the computer mouse
2. How to navigate the Internet

Step 2:     Complete the Interest Survey

The best way to determine that you're in the right job is by identifying what interests you and matching those interests to specific jobs.  Complete the Interest Survey below and print out your results for your Career folder.

 
Step 3:     Complete the Compare and Contrast Worksheet

Identify the top 3 jobs that best match your interests. Compare and contrast (worksheet below) each occupation by what skills are required, how much money you can make and how much it would cost you to get trained in each occupation.

Using the links below, make a poster promoting your chosen occupation. Be sure to include the skills required and the average annual income.
