Creating Stories for our Younger Peers

Process

First you will have a choice of three stories to choose from which are Cinderella, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and the Three Little Pigs.

Think about which story you love the best out of the three and pick one.

According to the story you had chosen break up into groups and sit with those who have the same book as you.

You and your group members in your groups have to think about the characters, the plot, theme, moral, etc in order to help you write your stories.

The next step is to begin brainstorming different ideas that you want to put in your stories.

Your story that you're creating has to be somewhat similar to the books you had chosen.

You will now work individually.

You will think about a title, characters, theme, important points, illustrations etc.

The most important thing in the story is plotting. If you don't write your story in order from beginning to end everything would be disorganize and you don't want that to happen.

In order to make the children attracted to your books draw nice pictures to the best of your ability and use nice colors.

Be sure to use proper grammar and Punctuation when needed at all times.

Before writing your final drafts make sure that the teacher checks your work and then you can process on.

For extra credit you made read your stories out loud to your classmates or to a K- 2 class.
