Take note of the processes used within the persuasive arguments in the following video clips. Think about these questions as you decide for yourself whether or not these videos are successful in persuading the audience:

  • Are they clear and effective in relating their intended message?
  • Do they present their arguments in a logical, progressive fashion?
  • Do they employ emotive language and persuasive appeals (ethos, logos, pathos) to persuade their intended audience?
  • Are the arguments in support of their position strong/influential?
  • Are you convinced to agree with their position?
  • Could you improve upon their argument to make it stronger, or provide a compelling argument against their position?
