Planning a Vacation

Step 1: You and cooperating group will need to decide on a place in the United States where you would like to travel to on your vacation.

Step 2: Now that you have decide where you are traveling to you will need to write a 3-5 paragraph letter to Chamber of Commerce to ask them for information on the place you want to visit.

Step 3: While you are waiting to hear back from the Chamber of Commerce, you will need to research which region your places is in, what geographically features are located there and 3 interesting facts about the place. You must record all the information you have found into your Vacation Planning Journal.

Step 4: You will need to use your recourses given to you to assist you in calculating the distance from your school to place you intend to visit. It is important to make sure have accurately calculate the distance because you do not want to end up in another place that you know nothing about.

Step 5: You will need to create a budget, remember you only have $2000 for your trip. In your budget you must include food, gas, hotel, admission to parks, museums other place you will be seeing, etc. Also remember this money will need to pay for everything including your travel back home.

Step 6: The weather is very important to your travel arrangements; you will need to research what the weather is like this time of year in the place you intend to travel to. You will also need to research what weather conditions will be like while you are visiting there so you can accurately pack for the trip.  

Step 7: Lastly, you will need to gather all your information together create a Power Point Presentation to share your vacation planning information with your peers.
