A Journey To China

In the book In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson by Bette Bao Lord, Shirley had moved from her home in China to America feeling very lost, lonely and confused. Shirely spoke nearly no English and could not make friends in her new school. One summer Shirely began to play stickball and following superstar Jackie Robinson, making her feel more comfortable in her new home and helping prove to herself that she is capable of anything.

You are a foreign exchange student moving to China. In order to survive in China you will need to study the lifestyle and traditions of your peers in different ways. You will need to survive your stay in China and pass school or you will not be able to return to America. Failure to pass school during your stay in China will leave you lost there forever!
